Professional Development at the International Level


Ambassadors provided support for the Canadian Policing College introducing the Naut’sa mawt Program to 20 senior policing administrators from across the county and the Bahamas


Senior Officers from various Canadian and International Police Forces came to explore the leadership potential within the IPAC program.

IPAC Ambassadors Tony Eeftink, Jan Hendriks and Bill Nadeau conducted an Indigenous Cultural Training program on behalf of the Canadian Policing College (CPC) and their Executive Development (Officer Development) program on June 27 at the Songhees Wellness Centre.

In attendance were faculty from the CPC along with 20 Senior Officers from across the country and internationally  representing various police forces including RCMP, Camrose, OPP, Peel, York, Saanich and the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

A featured guest appearance by Elder and School Survivor Joan Morris who spoke about her history and experiences in residential schools and Indian hospitals.

Ranks from Inspector to Assistant Commissioner, officers from across Canada participated in the event looking to bring the program back to their own communities.
