A recent luncheon with the elders of the Snaw-naw-as community brought more opportunities to explore the potential of the Naut’sa mawt Initiative

Honorary Chair Jim Bob provided an impactful account of the stories of Notch Hill, his history and how powerful and empowering the stories of elders can have during GFM events

 

Initiative Co-Lead Bill Nadeau had the opportunity to present the Naut’sa mawt project to a council of elders from Snaw-naw-as.

“I was honoured to present to them the Naut’sa mawt Initiative. The opportunity to seek their perspectives and learn and share with them the Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada and Giant Floor Map. What an amazing experience to hear all of their stories”.

Honorary Chair Jim Bob also presented and emphasized how important learning opportunities were explaining that projects like the Naut’sa mawt Initiative have resounding impacts not just on youth, but people of all ages.
